eValid V9 Additions & Changes
eValid V9 includes many changes and additions. Please see V9 Advances Summary for details.

Environment and Configuration
Here is a summary of the eValid required environment and configuration.

• Required OS/Browser
  eValid V9 relies on certain properties of the IE DLLs that are available in IE 7+, including IE 11. Similarly, certain features of eValid technology require use of Windows operating system features that are present in Windows 2000/SP4, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7+ (including Windows 10). At product launch time eValid will provide an advisory notice (popup) in case the minimum required operating capabilities are not present.

• Mobile Device Support
  eValid can simulate any device, including smartphones and a variety of other types of mobile/handheld devices, via adjustment of the User Agent String for the device.

• Supported Platforms
  eValid V9 is supported on Windows 2000/XP/Vista/Windows 7. See the Operating System Compatibilty Chart for complete details.

• Prior Windows OSs
  eValid does not formally support Windows 95, 98, ME, or Windows 2003 Server. In some cases scripts that work perfectly well on the supported platforms may have problems if you are running Windows 98 or ME (even when including the latest SP's) and will very likely have severe problems or complete failure, if you are running Windows 95.

• Required OS
  eValid is a free-standing Windows application -- it is not a browser wrapper, or a browser plugin, or a browser proxy. eValid does not require ANY other browser to be operating simultaneously. Multiple copies of eValid can be executing simultaneously.

  However, eValid's operation is standardized to interoperate correctly with a co-installed Internet Explorer (IE) browser. We recommend that you have IE 10 or IE11 installed on your machine. To update please Download Internet Explorer.

• SUN Java JRE
  For use of eValid Charts and 3D-SiteMap applets, you will need to have the SUN Java JRE environment installed. You must have Java JRE Version 1.5.6 or later.

V9 Technical Differences
There are no external technical differences between eValid V8 and eValid V9 that affect script operation. (There are significant internal differences, but you should never see any effect of these.) All eValid V8 scripts are directly upward compatible with V9 operation.
