
Cytometry Consultant
Derek Davies has been involved in Cytometry for over 40 years, firstly as a researcher and then as the head of a large core facility, initially at the Cancer Research UK London Research Institute (1990-2015) and then at the Francis Crick Institute in London, UK (2015-2019). From 2019, Derek was the Science Technology Platform Training Lead at the Crick, looking after internal and external training across all core facilities. In that time, he has trained thousands of researchers to use analytical flow cytometers and cell sorters and advised on experimental design and data analysis. In 2023 he embarked on semi-retirement but also acts as an independent trainer and consultant in Flow Cytometry.
