Dr. Luís Abrunhosa holds a degree in biology from the University of Aveiro, a Master's degree in biotechnology/bioprocess engineering, and a PhD in chemical and biological engineering (knowledge area of food technology) from the University of Minho. He has extensive research experience in food testing and safety, with an emphasis in mycotoxicology. His research focuses on mycotoxin biodegradation, detoxification and the analytical determination of mycotoxins by HPLC in different kinds of matrixes.
