Dr. Trainer is a Research Space Scientist in the Planetary Environments Laboratory at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, with interests in astrobiology, habitability and the synthesis and processing of organics in planetary environments.
Dr. Trainer is the Deputy Principal Investigator of the New Frontiers Dragonfly Mission to Titan, as well as the Principal Investigator of the Dragonfly Mass Spectrometer (DraMS) that will investigate Titan’s surface composition. She is the Deputy Lead for the Venus Mass Spectrometer on the DAVINCI mission to Venus. Dr. Trainer is a science team member on the Sample Analysis at Mars (SAM) experiment aboard the Mars Science Laboratory Curiosity Rover.Got a Question for Melissa G. Trainer, PhD?
