Dr. Riccardo Dalle Grave is the director of the Department of Eating and Weight Disorders at Villa Garda Hospital (Garda, VR, Italy). In this department, he developed an original treatment for eating disorders based entirely on enhanced cognitive behavior therapy (CBT-E), the adaptation of outpatient CBT-E for adolescents with eating disorders and the cognitive behavior therapy for obesity (CBT-OB) and binge-eating disorder. Currently, the focus of his research is evaluating the cognitive behavior therapy of adult and adolescent patients with eating disorders and obesity, respectively, both in outpatient and inpatient settings. He is a member of the editorial board of several scientific journals, a fellow of the Academy for Eating Disorder (AED), a member of the European Chapter AED board, member of the Associazione Italiana Disturbi dell'Alimentazione e del Peso (AIDAP) and editor of the CBT-E website. He is the author of 185 peer-reviewed articles, several book chapters and books, including four recent books "Cognitive behavior therapy for adolescents with eating disorders (Guilford Press, 2020)", "Cognitive behaviour therapy for eating disorders in young people: A parents' guide" (Routledge, 2022), “A young person’s guide to cognitive behaviour therapy for eating disorders (Routledge, 2024) and “Cognitive behavior therapy for binge eating disorder” (Springer).
