Shuang Zhao, PhD profile page

Dr. Shuang Zhao is a node manager at The Metabolomics Innovation Centre (TMIC), Canada’s leading metabolomics research facility, where he plays a key role in advancing research across clinical, biomedical and agricultural metabolomics. Dr. Zhao earned his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Alberta, specializing in LC-MS-based metabolomics. In addition to his contributions at TMIC, Dr. Zhao serves as Vice President at Nova Medical Testing Inc. (NovaMT). Since joining NovaMT in 2018, he has significantly contributed to the development and commercialization of advanced analytical technologies, such as the HP-CIL Metabolomics Platform and the comprehensive Global Lipidomics Platform. His dual roles reflect his commitment to advancing metabolomics applications and innovative diagnostic technologies for large-scale small molecule analysis.
