Tyler Brown is the founder, chair and president of OUTbio San Diego, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit empowering LGBTQ+ professionals in the life sciences through networking, education, advocacy and peer support. With over a decade of experience, he is passionate about early-stage innovation, entrepreneurship and advancing diversity, equity and inclusion in the industry. In 2024, he was recognized as one of ten Biocom California Life Science Catalyst Award recipients, honouring rising leaders under 40 making significant contributions across the state’s life science ecosystem. He previously co-founded i2o Therapeutics, a startup pioneering next-generation oral biologics, where he led technology and business development as senior director, and he currently serves as the Drug Delivery Chair for the Boulder Peptide Symposium. Tyler holds a PhD in Bioengineering from Harvard University and an MS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
